At the Embersplit mine, some workers stumbled upon ancient ruins deep underground. Quickly hearing of this, Angdrin pressures some of the miners into smuggling relics out. The potential value of such relics are enormous in both financial terms and in acquiring important information. However, this smuggling operation leads to the arrival of Thorn, sent on a quest to investigate the mine's decrease in production. One night, in the midst of smuggling the relics, Angdrin and his personal guard are confronted by Thorn. The Crimson Snakes manage to slay Thorn, but only after the titan killed seven of his elite soldiers and almost taking out Angdrin as well. With the local authorities alerted to the smuggling operations and to the ruins located underneath the mine, Angdrin couldn't continue smuggling out relics.
The Blood Mage turns his attention to Davyos's Fall, the valley that Ouroboros and his team recently discovered. The report of the previous exploration noted the presence of wolfkin, a race not previously know to exist. If more information can be gleaned about where the wolfkin come from, a spawn point for a new playable race might be found and conquered. Angdrin seeks to find this information in the ruins of the wolfkin city in Davyos's Fall, but the entire library has been cleared of its books by Thorn.
The Crimson Snakes eventually figure out that the wolfkin come from Fang Valley, an unexplored area within the nearby mountains. Angdrin and his army advance to the valley, but upon arrival he finds the valley blocked off by a massive castle. Ouroboros and his Blood Guard forces join Angdrin to assist in capturing the valley. Angdrin attempts to negotiate a surrender of the castle inhabitants, but he encounters Thorn who refuses surrender. Angdrin makes a hasty attack against the fortress and personally leads his elite guard in a strike against the forces above the fortress gates. He and his guard teleport up to the rampart but are almost immediately rebuffed by Thorn and his forces. Angdrin teleports back to safety, only to be betrayed and killed by Ouroboros who assumes command of the Ragnarok forces.
